Qs. Rose Kotut is the Senior Principal Superintending Quantity Surveyor at the State Department for Public Works. She boasts a remarkable 16 years of extensive experience in the construction industry, adeptly maneuvering through both the private and public sectors. QS. Rose holds a Master of Arts in Construction Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Building Economics from the same university. She is a registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors and a professional member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK).
She also has certificates in the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP), Senior Management Course (SMC), and Project Development Management (PDM) from the Kenya School of Government, along with a certificate in International Leadership, Public Policy, and Good Governance from the National Centre of Good Governance in Mussoorie, India. She is currently the Honorary Secretary at the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (2024-2026). She has previously served as an Assistant Honorary Secretary (2022-2024) and Council Member (2020-2022) at the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.
She has also previously served on the Educational Board Committee of the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) from 2020 to 2023. As of 2023 to date, she is an appointed member of the Research and Publication Committee, contributing to knowledge dissemination and industry advancements in architecture and quantity surveying.
