Eng. Catherine Munyi is a registered civil engineer and an associate expert accredited by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). She holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management at the same institution.
Her professional affiliations include membership with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), and the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK). Eng. Munyi is currently working as a Resident Engineer at Intercensal Engineering Ltd, where she leverages her technical expertise in engineering and environmental compliance.
She has a wealth of experience in contract administration, quality control, and dispute resolution, having worked as a Resident Engineer, Deputy Resident Engineer, and Deputy Materials Engineer on various projects. Eng. Munyi is trained in FIDIC Conditions of Contract, claims analysis, and management, and is actively engaged in dispute resolution processes.
Eng. Munyi is actively involved with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), where she currently serves as a member of the Publicity & Brand Management Sub-Committee (2022/2024) under the Publicity, Research & Advocacy Committee (PRAC). She was previously a member of the Events & Functions Committee from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, she played a pivotal role as the Vice Chairperson of the founding/steering committee that established the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACEK) Future Leaders from 2014 to 2018.
